Door allerlei omstandigheden waren er in de loop der tijd steeds meer kilo\u2019s bijgekomen. Di\u00ebten liepen steeds op niets uit. Op mijn zwaarste moment, in 2018, woog ik 130 kg. Door mijn overgewicht kon ik steeds minder doen. Ik werk bij een kinderdagverblijf, maar gewoon even bij een kindje op de grond gaan zitten was al een hele uitdaging.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOok simpele dagelijkse bezigheden vielen me zwaar. Als ik met de wasmand twee trappen op liep, dan stond ik boven te hijgen. Op een terrasje was ik altijd bang dat mijn stoel het zou begeven. En leuke dingen ondernemen met mijn dochter werd steeds lastiger. We zijn allebei dol op pretparken, maar de laatste keer in de Efteling kon ik niet eens mee in de achtbaan. De veiligheidsbeugel ging niet dicht. Ik kon wel door de grond zakken!\u201d[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]<div id=\"a1\" class=\"titulo-component align-left color-primary\"><h2 class=\"titulo h2\">Het roer om<\/h2><\/div>[vc_column_text]\u201cIn 2019 besloot ik dat het roer om moest. De huisarts verwees me naar het Flevoziekenhuis voor een gastric bypass. Zo\u2019n operatie is onderdeel van een uitgebreid traject. Zo bezocht ik samen met mijn man twee informatiebijeenkomsten en had ik gesprekken met onder meer een bariatrisch verpleegkundige, psycholoog, anesthesist en di\u00ebtiste. Onder begeleiding van een fysiotherapeut startte ik met een sportprogramma, en een di\u00ebtiste begeleidde me bij een intensief afvaltraject.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNa vier maanden was ik al behoorlijk wat kilo\u2019s kwijt en was het tijd voor de operatie. Dat was best pittig, maar eenmaal thuis begon het pas \u00e9cht. Je moet anders gaan eten en jezelf een compleet nieuwe leefstijl aanleren. Ik ben dagelijks gaan wandelen, soms zelfs twee keer per dag, en dat doe ik nu nog steeds. Het is vooral een kwestie van zelf doen, maar ik ben fantastisch begeleid door de professionals in het Flevoziekenhuis. Als ik het moeilijk had, kon ik terecht bij de psycholoog. En nog steeds ga ik regelmatig naar de di\u00ebtiste. Mijn nieuwe gewicht geeft me zoveel vrijheid. Toen ik voor het eerst in een kledingzaak bij de reguliere maten terechtkon, was dat best een emotioneel moment. Het is zo fijn dat ik nu overal kan slagen waar ze leuke kleding verkopen. Sommige mensen herkennen me niet eens. Vorige zomer zijn we naar de Efteling geweest, we zijn gaan klimmen in een klimbos en een dagje gaan suppen. Pasgeleden trok ze me in een jolige bui op schoot. \u2018Nu kan het eindelijk\u2019, lachte ze.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Op mijn werk is er een wereld voor me opengegaan. Vroeger was eten een feest voor me, maar dat heb ik losgelaten. Er zijn nu andere feestmomenten. Bijvoorbeeld een ritje in de achtbaan samen met mijn dochter. Of dat ik elke dag kan kiezen wat ik wil dragen: een skinny jeans, een mooie jurk of een leuk rokje.
